Marriage should be synonymous with “change,”, especially if you are an Indian middle-class girl. One has to change her family, her home, her neighbors, her city, and even her surname. I was the more fortunate one, hence, I had to leave my job as well. (Read it with a pinch of sarcasm.)

As a girl who has been on a journey to follow her passion, I have come to realize that exploring more than one specialization in a career is not a bad thing. In fact, it can be a very enriching and rewarding experience.

My journey started as a physics teacher for four years, and during the lockdown, I decided to explore other fields as well. I worked hard to learn new skills like software testing, digital marketing, and content writing. I was fascinated by the world of software testing and decided to pursue it further. I learned about manual testing, and after three months, I landed a job as a manual tester.

However, due to various reasons, I had to drop the organization. But that did not stop me from following my passion. I continued to upskill myself in Java and API testing. I went for several interviews, some were good, while others were not so good. But through it all, I learned that the key to success is to keep learning and keep pushing yourself to be better.

The struggle to learn and find the right path can be overwhelming, but it is important to stay focused and never give up. There were times when I felt like giving up, but I reminded myself of my passion and the reason why I started this journey in the first place.

Through my journey, I have learned that exploring more than one specialization in a career is not a bad thing. In fact, it can open up a world of opportunities and enrich your life in ways you never thought possible. So, if you are someone who is searching to follow their passion, I encourage you to explore different fields and never be afraid to take risks. The path may not always be easy, but the reward is always worth it in the end.
